I am a photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa. The work on my website reflects current and my favourite recent work.  Living and working in South Africa enables me to photograph what I love: colour, energy and tradition against incredible scenery or dynamic city streets. 

I am motivated by the word "energy" - I want the work I do and the photographs I take to convey a sense of the energy of South Africa. It's the energy that one picks up walking through a particular neighbourhood where the colours are bright, the fabrics are bold, the characters are quirky and the light just right. I aim to combine the humour and energy of this country with a beautiful, thought-through photograph.

My work has appeared in many magazines from Women's Wear Daily to the Observer UK, Elle,  Marie Claire, Fair Lady and O, The Oprah Magazine. I also shoot for commercial and private clients. In 2012 my images of great style on the streets of South Africa was published in a book called "Sharp Sharp" (Quivertree Publications).

All the images on my site are for sale as photographic prints. If you are interested in buying a print, please email me at Ed@EdSuter.com. I have printers in the UK and the USA who print and deliver for me or I ship prints from South Africa. The prints can be printed at any size you want and are printed on archival paper as part of a limited edition of 50 prints per image.
